1. Mould preparation.

2. The heating and fusion step.
Once inside the oven, the mould is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and coats the inside if the mold. The rotation is done slowly, about 20 revolutions per minute. One thing that is crucial at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose stability and strength, generating a poor product. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which creates bubbles in the completed product.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the component has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks a little for ease of removal from the mould. This is one more procedure that depends a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too quickly, causing bending of the product.

4. The unloading or de-molding step.
When the component inside te mold has cooled correctly, the molder taking care of the procedure can then take out the finalized product from the mold. The function is repeated from the start, supplying a number of exact products.
