1. Mould readying.
A fixed measure of polymer in powder form is loaded into a hollow mold. The mould is usually composeded of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. 2. The heat and fusion process.

The turning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 spins per min. One thing that is important at this point is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose stability and strength, making a poor item. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which produces bubbles in the finished item.

3. Mold cooling.
When the product has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the component cools, it reduces slightly for ease of removal from the mold. This is one more step that depends a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too rapidly, causing bending of the product.

4. The discharging or de-molding step.
When the material within te mould has cooled effectively, the person taking care of the procedure can then extract the completed product from the mold. The function is repeated from the beginning, making a number of identical products.
