The Rotomoulding Procedure Components

1. Mould readying.

2. The heat and fusion procedure.
Once within the oven, the mould is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and overlays the inside if the mould. The rotation is done slowly, about 20 spins per sixty seconds. Something that is crucial at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose value and durability, producing a faulty item. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which generates bubbles in the completed item.

3. Mould cooling.
When the component has sufficiently spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks a little for ease of extraction from the mold. This is yet another procedure that relies a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too fast, causing warping of the item.

4. The offloading or de-molding phase.
As soon as the product within te mold has cooled correctly, the molder taking care of the procedure can then extract the finalized item from the mould. The function is repeated from the start, making a series of identical product lines.
