The Rotomoulding Process Components

1. Mold readying.

2. The heating up and fusion procedure.
Once within the oven, the mould is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and layers the inside if the mold. The rotation is done slowly, about 20 rotations per minute. Something that is essential at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose value and durability, generating a weak product. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed properly, which develops bubbles in the finished item.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the material has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another step that depends upon a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too fast, causing bending of the item.

4. The un-loading or de-molding phase.
Once the material inside te mould has cooled effectively, the person handling the procedure can then remove the finished item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the start, making a number of exact product lines.
