1. Mold readying.

Pre-heating of the oven starts, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is warmed to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then locked and positioned inside the oven.

2. The heat and fusion process.
Once inside the oven, the mould is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and layers the inside if the mould. The rotation is done slowly and gradually, about 20 rotations per min. Something that is critical at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the product will lose value and strength, making a poor item. If it is removed from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which generates bubbles in the finalized item.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the material has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the material cools, it reduces a little for ease of removal from the mould. This is an additional measure that depends a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too rapidly, causing bending of the material.

4. The unloading or de-moulding step.
Once the product within te mould has cooled successfully, the person handling the process can then remove the completed item from the mould. The procedure is repeated from the beginning, supplying a series of exact products.
