1. Mold preparation.
A fixed measure of polymer in powder form is filled into a hollow mould. The mould is usually composeded of cast aluminium or sheet steel component. 2. The heating and fusion process.
Once inside the oven, the mould is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The spinning is done slowly, about 20 rotations per minute. Something that is crucial at this point is the period of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the material will lose stability and durability, making a weak item. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which develops bubbles in the finalized product line.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the product has completely spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another measure that depends a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too quick, causing bending of the material.

4. The discharging or de-moulding step.
When the component inside te mould has cooled properly, the person managing the process can then remove the finished product from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, providing a series of exact products.
