1. Mould readying.
A fixed amount of polymer in grain form is loaded into a hollow mould. The mould is usually made from cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. 2. The heating and fusion phase.
Once within the oven, the mould is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The spinning is done gradually, about 20 revolutions per min. The main thing that is vital at this moment is the period of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose stability and strength, generating a faulty item. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which generates bubbles in the finished product line.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the material has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is an additional procedure that relies a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too quick, causing warping of the material.

4. The offloading or de-moulding phase.
Once the material within te mold has cooled correctly, the person handling the process can then take out the finished item from the mold. The procedure is repeated from the beginning, providing a number of identical items.
