1. Mould preparation.

2. The heat and fusion step.
Once inside the oven, the mold is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mould. The spinning is done gradually, about 20 revolutions per sixty seconds. The main thing that is vital at this point is the amount of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the product will lose stability and strength, making a poor item. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied properly, which creates bubbles in the completed product.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is an additional step that depends upon a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too rapidly, causing warping of the product.

4. The un-loading or de-moulding phase.
As soon as the material within te mould has cooled properly, the person handling the process can then extract the finished product from the mould. The function is repeated from the beginning, providing a series of identical items.
