1. Mould fitting.

2. The heating and fusion process.
Once inside the oven, the mould is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and coats the inside if the mould. The rotation is done slowly, about 20 spins per min. The main thing that is important at this moment is the amount of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose stability and durability, making a faulty item. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which generates bubbles in the completed item.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the material has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks a little for ease of removal from the mold. This is an additional procedure that relies a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too quickly, causing warping of the item.

4. The discharging or de-moulding phase.
As soon as the product within te mould has cooled effectively, the person managing the operation can then extract the finished item from the mold. The function is repeated from the start, providing a series of identical product lines.
