1. Mould fitting.

2. The heating up and fusion process.
Once inside the oven, the mould is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The turning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 spins per min. The main thing that is crucial at this moment is the period of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the material will lose stability and strength, making a poor product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which generates bubbles in the finalized product.
3. Mould cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks a little for ease of removal from the mould. This is yet another measure that relies a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too rapidly, causing warping of the item.
4. The unloading or de-moulding phase.
Once the material inside te mould has cooled adequately, the person handling the process can then take out the finished product from the mold. The technique is repeated from the start, supplying a number of identical products.
