1. Mould fitting.

2. The heating and fusion phase.

The main thing that is crucial at this moment is the amount of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the product will lose value and strength, generating a poor item. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied properly, which produces bubbles in the finalized product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks a little for ease of extraction from the mold. This is yet another measure that depends upon a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too rapidly, causing bending of the item.

4. The discharging or de-molding step.
As soon as the product within te mould has cooled correctly, the molder taking care of the process can then extract the completed item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the start, giving a number of similar product lines.
