1. Mold fitting.

2. The heating and fusion procedure.
Once inside the oven, the mould is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and layers the inside if the mold. The spinning is done slowly, about 20 revolutions per min. Something that is vital at this point is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose stability and strength, creating a poor item. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed properly, which develops bubbles in the completed product.

3. Mold cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks a little for ease of extraction from the mold. This is yet another measure that depends upon a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too quick, causing warping of the item.

4. The un-loading or de-moulding step.
Once the component inside te mold has cooled successfully, the person handling the process can then extract the completed item from the mold. The process is repeated from the beginning, supplying a number of identical products.
