The Rotomolding Process Components

1. Mould preparation.

2. The heat and fusion step.

If it overstays, the component will lose stability and strength, making a poor product. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which generates bubbles in the completed product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of removal from the mold. This is another procedure that depends upon a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too quickly, causing warping of the product.

4. The offloading or de-molding phase.
Once the material inside te mold has cooled correctly, the person taking care of the operation can then take out the finalized item from the mould. The process is repeated from the start, giving a number of similar products.
