The Rotomoulding Process in Detail

If it stays to long, the product will lose value and durability, making a weak product. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which creates bubbles in the finished product.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the material has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces a little for ease of removal from the mould. This is yet another measure that relies a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too fast, causing warping of the product.

4. The offloading or de-moulding step.
Once the material inside te mold has cooled adequately, the molder managing the procedure can then remove the finalized product from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, supplying a number of identical products.
