1. Mold fitting.

Preheating of the oven follows, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is warmed to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then secured and put within the oven.

2. The heating and fusion step.
Once placed into the oven, the mould is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and layers the inside if the mold. The turning is done gradually, about 20 rotations per min. One thing that is essential at this moment is the amount of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose value and durability, making a faulty item. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed properly, which produces bubbles in the completed product line.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the material has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the component cools, it reduces a little for ease of removal from the mould. This is another procedure that relies a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too quick, causing warping of the item.

4. The un-loading or de-moulding phase.
Once the product within te mould has cooled effectively, the person managing the process can then remove the completed item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, supplying a number of identical products.
