When the product cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of removal from the mould. This is yet another step that depends a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too rapidly, causing bending of the material.

4. The offloading or de-molding phase.
As soon as the product within te mould has cooled adequately, the molder handling the operation can then extract the completed item from the mold. The function is repeated from the beginning, providing a series of identical product lines.
