1. Mould preparation.

The main thing that is vital at this point is the amount of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose stability and strength, producing a weak product. If it is removed from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which creates bubbles in the finished item.

3. Mould cooling.
When the material has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of removal from the mold. This is another step that relies a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too quickly, causing bending of the product.

4. The unloading or de-moulding phase.
As soon as the product inside te mold has cooled correctly, the molder handling the procedure can then extract the finished item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the start, giving a series of similar products.
