1. Mold preparation.

2. The heat and fusion phase.
Once placed into the oven, the mould is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and coats the inside if the mold. The spinning is done gradually, about 20 spins per min. Something that is critical at this point is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose stability and strength, creating a weak product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which creates bubbles in the completed product line.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the component has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of removal from the mould. This is one more measure that depends upon a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too rapidly, causing bending of the item.

4. The removing or de-moulding step.
When the product within te mold has cooled properly, the molder taking care of the process can then extract the finished product from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, providing a number of similar items.
