1. Mold fitting.

2. The heat and fusion step.
Once inside the oven, the mold is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and coats the inside if the mould. The turning is done slowly, about 20 rotations per minute. The main thing that is important at this moment is the amount of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose stability and strength, making a weak item. If it is taken out from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied properly, which develops bubbles in the finalized item.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the component has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the component cools, it reduces slightly for ease of removal from the mould. This is yet another measure that depends a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too quick, causing bending of the material.

4. The discharging or de-molding step.
As soon as the material inside te mold has cooled effectively, the person handling the operation can then remove the finalized product from the mould. The technique is repeated from the beginning, giving a number of exact items.
