1. Mold readying.
A fixed amount of polymer in powder form is packed into a hollow mould. The mold is usually composeded of cast aluminium or sheet steel material. The coloring preferred for the final product is pre compounded into the polymer. The most commonly used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this style of plastic production.

Pre-heating of the oven starts, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated up to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then sealed and placed within the oven.

2. The heating and fusion process.
Once within the oven, the mold is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and layers the inside if the mold. The rotation is done slowly, about 20 rotations per sixty seconds. Something that is crucial at this point is the amount of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the product will lose value and strength, creating a poor item. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which generates bubbles in the finished product.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the product has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another procedure that depends upon a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too rapidly, causing bending of the item.

4. The offloading or de-moulding phase.
Once the material inside te mould has cooled properly, the person taking care of the process can then remove the completed product from the mold. The function is repeated from the beginning, giving a series of identical products.
