1. Mold preparation.

2. The heating and fusion process.

Something that is essential at this moment is the period of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the material will lose value and strength, generating a poor product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied properly, which develops bubbles in the finished product.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the material has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of removal from the mould. This is yet another step that depends upon a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too fast, causing warping of the item.

4. The unloading or de-moulding phase.
When the component within te mould has cooled correctly, the molder managing the process can then remove the finalized product from the mold. The procedure is repeated from the start, giving a number of similar product lines.
