The Rotomolding Method in Detail

1. Mold prep work.

If it overstays, the component will lose stability and durability, creating a faulty product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which creates bubbles in the finalized item.

3. Mould cooling.
When the component has sufficiently spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of extraction from the mold. This is one more step that relies a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too quick, causing bending of the product.

4. The offloading or de-molding step.
As soon as the product within te mold has cooled adequately, the molder handling the process can then take out the completed product from the mold. The function is repeated from the start, supplying a number of similar product lines.
