1. Mould fitting.
A predetermined quantity of polymer in grain form is filled into a hollow mold. The mold is usually composeded of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most typically used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this design of plastic production.

Pre-heating of the oven starts, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated up to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then secured and placed within the oven.

2. The heating and fusion phase.
Once within the oven, the mold is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and layers the inside if the mould. The turning is done slowly, about 20 revolutions per minute. Something that is crucial at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose value and strength, creating a poor item. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have flowed properly, which develops bubbles in the finished item.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another measure that depends upon a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too quick, causing bending of the material.

4. The removing or de-molding step.
Once the component inside te mould has cooled properly, the person handling the operation can then take out the finalized item from the mould. The function is repeated from the start, making a series of identical products.
