The Rotomolding Process Components

1. Mould readying.

If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted properly, which generates bubbles in the completed item.

3. Mould cooling.
When the component has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another step that depends a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too fast, causing warping of the material.

4. The removing or de-moulding phase.
As soon as the product inside te mould has cooled correctly, the person managing the operation can then remove the finished product from the mould. The function is repeated from the start, providing a series of identical items.
