1. Mould fitting.
A fixed quantity of polymer in particle form is filled into a hollow mold. The mold is usually composeded of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most often used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this style of plastic engineering.

2. The heat and fusion procedure.
Once placed into the oven, the mould is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The rotation is done slowly, about 20 rotations per minute. One thing that is critical at this point is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose value and durability, generating a poor product. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which produces bubbles in the finalized product line.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the material has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of extraction from the mold. This is an additional measure that depends a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too quick, causing bending of the material.

4. The unloading or de-moulding phase.
Once the material inside te mold has cooled correctly, the person managing the operation can then extract the finished product from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, giving a series of similar product lines.
