1. Mould prep work.

2. The heat and fusion procedure.
Once inside the oven, the mold is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and layers the inside if the mold. The turning is done slowly, about 20 rotations per sixty seconds. Something that is critical at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose stability and strength, generating a poor item. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which produces bubbles in the finalized product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the component has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of extraction from the mould. This is an additional measure that depends a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too rapidly, causing warping of the item.

4. The removing or de-moulding phase.
When the product within te mold has cooled successfully, the molder managing the operation can then extract the finished item from the mold. The procedure is repeated from the beginning, providing a number of identical items.
