1. Mold fitting.
A predetermined measure of polymer in powder form is packed into a hollow mold. The mold is usually built from cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most often used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this format of plastic engineering.

Pre-heating of the oven follows, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then sealed and put within the oven.

2. The heat and fusion step.
Once inside the oven, the mould is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and coats the inside if the mould. The spinning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 rotations per minute. One thing that is critical at this point is the period of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose value and durability, making a poor item. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which creates bubbles in the finished product line.

3. Mold cooling.
When the material has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of removal from the mold. This is another measure that depends upon a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too quickly, causing bending of the item.

4. The offloading or de-moulding phase.
When the component within te mould has cooled adequately, the person managing the process can then take out the finished product from the mold. The process is repeated from the start, giving a series of similar product lines.
