1. Mould prep work.

2. The heating up and fusion process.
Once within the oven, the mold is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and coats the inside if the mold. The rotation is done gradually, about 20 revolutions per min. One thing that is crucial at this point is the period of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the product will lose value and strength, generating a faulty item. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which creates bubbles in the finalized product.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the material cools, it reduces slightly for ease of extraction from the mould. This is yet another procedure that depends a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too quickly, causing warping of the material.

4. The un-loading or de-moulding phase.
As soon as the product within te mould has cooled correctly, the person handling the procedure can then remove the completed product from the mould. The procedure is repeated from the beginning, supplying a series of exact products.
