1. Mold preparation.

2. The heat and fusion phase.
Once inside the oven, the mold is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The turning is done gradually, about 20 spins per min. The main thing that is vital at this point is the amount of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose stability and durability, making a faulty item. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which generates bubbles in the finished item.

3. Mold cooling.
When the material has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of extraction from the mould. This is yet another procedure that relies a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too rapidly, causing warping of the product.

4. The unloading or de-molding phase.
When the product within te mould has cooled properly, the molder handling the process can then take out the finalized item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, supplying a number of similar items.
