1. Mold fitting.
A fixed volume of polymer in grain form is packed into a hollow mold. The mould is usually constructed from cast aluminium or sheet steel component. Preheating of the oven follows, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then locked and inserted into the oven.

2. The heat and fusion process.
Once within the oven, the mold is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and layers the inside if the mold. The spinning is done gradually, about 20 spins per minute. The main thing that is important at this point is the amount of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the product will lose stability and durability, producing a poor item. If it is removed from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which produces bubbles in the finalized product line.

3. Mold cooling.
When the material has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks a little for ease of removal from the mould. This is another measure that depends upon a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too fast, causing bending of the product.

4. The removing or de-molding step.
Once the component inside te mould has cooled properly, the molder taking care of the operation can then remove the completed product from the mold. The process is repeated from the start, supplying a number of similar product lines.
