1. Mold readying.
A fixed quantity of polymer in grain form is packed into a hollow mould. The mould is usually composeded of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. Preheating of the oven follows, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated up to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then sealed and put inside the oven.

2. The heating up and fusion phase.
Once inside the oven, the mould is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and coats the inside if the mould. The spinning is done gradually, about 20 rotations per min. The main thing that is important at this moment is the amount of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose stability and durability, generating a poor product. If it is taken out from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied properly, which generates bubbles in the finalized item.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another measure that depends upon a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too quickly, causing warping of the material.

4. The un-loading or de-moulding phase.
When the component inside te mold has cooled effectively, the molder managing the process can then extract the finished item from the mold. The function is repeated from the beginning, supplying a series of identical products.
