1. Mould preparation.
A predetermined measure of polymer in powder form is packed into a hollow mold. The mold is usually made of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The color tone intended for the end item is pre compounded into the polymer. The most commonly used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this style of plastic manufacturing.

Preheating of the oven follows, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then sealed and placed within the oven.

2. The heating up and fusion procedure.
Once within the oven, the mould is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and coats the inside if the mould. The rotation is done slowly, about 20 spins per minute. The main thing that is crucial at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the material will lose stability and strength, generating a faulty product. If it is removed from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed properly, which develops bubbles in the finished product.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the material has sufficiently spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the material cools, it reduces slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another step that depends upon a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too rapidly, causing bending of the item.

4. The offloading or de-moulding phase.
When the product inside te mold has cooled successfully, the person handling the process can then take out the finished item from the mold. The procedure is repeated from the start, giving a number of identical items.
