1. Mould fitting.
A fixed volume of polymer in particle form is loaded into a hollow mould. The mold is usually made of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most commonly used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this style of plastic manufacturing.

Preheating of the oven follows, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then sealed and placed within the oven.

2. The heating and fusion procedure.
Once inside the oven, the mould is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and coats the inside if the mold. The spinning is done slowly, about 20 spins per minute. The main thing that is important at this moment is the amount of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the product will lose stability and durability, creating a faulty product. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied properly, which creates bubbles in the finalized product.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the material has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks a little for ease of extraction from the mold. This is yet another measure that depends upon a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too quick, causing bending of the item.

4. The offloading or de-moulding phase.
Once the material inside te mould has cooled adequately, the molder handling the operation can then extract the finalized item from the mold. The procedure is repeated from the beginning, providing a number of identical items.
