1. Mold prep work.
A predetermined measure of polymer in grain form is loaded into a hollow mold. The mould is usually crafted from cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most commonly used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this type of plastic production.

Pre-heating of the oven starts, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then locked and inserted within the oven.

2. The heating and fusion phase.
Once placed into the oven, the mold is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and layers the inside if the mold. The spinning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 rotations per sixty seconds. Something that is important at this point is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the product will lose value and durability, creating a poor item. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have melted properly, which generates bubbles in the completed product.

3. Mould cooling.
When the component has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of extraction from the mold. This is an additional procedure that relies a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too fast, causing bending of the item.

4. The offloading or de-molding step.
As soon as the product within te mould has cooled effectively, the person taking care of the procedure can then remove the finalized product from the mold. The process is repeated from the beginning, providing a series of similar products.
