1. Mould preparation.

2. The heating and fusion process.
Once inside the oven, the mould is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and coats the inside if the mold. The rotation is done slowly, about 20 revolutions per min. One thing that is vital at this point is the amount of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the product will lose stability and durability, making a poor product. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which generates bubbles in the finished item.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the product has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces somewhat for ease of removal from the mould. This is yet another procedure that depends a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too quickly, causing warping of the material.

4. The unloading or de-molding step.
As soon as the component within te mold has cooled successfully, the person taking care of the operation can then take out the finished product from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, making a number of exact items.
