1. Mold prep work.
A predetermined amount of polymer in grain form is packed into a hollow mold. The mould is usually comprised of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most typically used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this design of plastic production.

Preheating of the oven starts, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then locked and put inside the oven.

2. The heat and fusion process.
Once inside the oven, the mold is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The spinning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 spins per minute. Something that is crucial at this moment is the period of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose value and strength, creating a poor item. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which creates bubbles in the finished product.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the product has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks a little for ease of removal from the mold. This is another step that depends upon a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too quickly, causing warping of the material.

4. The removing or de-molding phase.
When the component within te mold has cooled correctly, the person taking care of the operation can then take out the finalized product from the mold. The function is repeated from the beginning, supplying a series of exact items.
