1. Mould fitting.

Preheating of the oven starts, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is warmed to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then sealed and positioned inside the oven.

2. The heat and fusion procedure.
Once placed into the oven, the mould is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and overlays the inside if the mould. The turning is done slowly, about 20 spins per min. The main thing that is vital at this point is the period of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose stability and durability, creating a faulty item. If it is taken out from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted properly, which produces bubbles in the finished product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the component has completely spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces slightly for ease of removal from the mold. This is one more step that depends a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too quick, causing bending of the item.

4. The removing or de-molding phase.
As soon as the product inside te mould has cooled correctly, the molder taking care of the operation can then remove the completed item from the mould. The technique is repeated from the beginning, supplying a series of exact items.
