1. Mould preparation.

2. The heating up and fusion procedure.
Once inside the oven, the mold is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The rotation is done slowly and gradually, about 20 revolutions per min. Something that is essential at this point is the amount of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose value and strength, generating a faulty product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which creates bubbles in the finalized product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the material has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the material cools, it reduces slightly for ease of removal from the mold. This is another procedure that relies a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too rapidly, causing warping of the material.

4. The unloading or de-molding phase.
As soon as the component within te mould has cooled correctly, the person handling the operation can then take out the completed product from the mold. The function is repeated from the beginning, providing a number of similar items.
