1. Mold prep work.

2. The heating and fusion procedure.
Once inside the oven, the mold is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and layers the inside if the mould. The turning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 rotations per minute. The main thing that is critical at this point is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose value and strength, producing a weak product. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied properly, which develops bubbles in the finalized item.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the product has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks a little for ease of extraction from the mould. This is an additional step that depends a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too rapidly, causing warping of the material.

4. The removing or de-moulding phase.
Once the material within te mold has cooled successfully, the person handling the operation can then take out the completed product from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, supplying a number of exact products.
