1. Mould prep work.

3. Mold cooling.

This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks a little for ease of removal from the mould. This is another step that depends a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too quickly, causing bending of the material.

4. The removing or de-moulding step.
When the material within te mould has cooled correctly, the molder managing the process can then remove the finalized product from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, providing a number of identical products.
