1. Mold preparation.
A predetermined amount of polymer in particle form is filled into a hollow mold. The mould is usually made of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most generally used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this type of plastic assembly.

Preheating of the oven follows, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated up to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then locked and inserted inside the oven.

2. The heating and fusion procedure.
Once within the oven, the mold is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The rotation is done slowly, about 20 spins per sixty seconds. The main thing that is essential at this moment is the period of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the material will lose stability and durability, creating a poor product. If it is removed from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which creates bubbles in the completed item.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the product has sufficiently spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces slightly for ease of removal from the mold. This is yet another measure that relies a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too quickly, causing bending of the item.

4. The unloading or de-molding phase.
When the product within te mold has cooled successfully, the person taking care of the operation can then remove the finished item from the mold. The procedure is repeated from the beginning, providing a series of similar items.
