The Rotomoulding Method in Detail

1. Mould fitting.

If it overstays, the material will lose stability and durability, generating a weak product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted properly, which develops bubbles in the finalized product line.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the component has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is one more procedure that depends a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too quick, causing bending of the material.

4. The unloading or de-molding step.
Once the component inside te mould has cooled properly, the molder taking care of the operation can then remove the completed product from the mould. The technique is repeated from the start, supplying a series of similar product lines.
