1. Mold fitting.
A fixed measure of polymer in particle form is packed into a hollow mold. The mould is usually comprised of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most typically used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this design of plastic assembly.

Pre-heating of the oven follows, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated up to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then locked and placed into the oven.

2. The heat and fusion step.
Once within the oven, the mould is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The turning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 revolutions per sixty seconds. The main thing that is critical at this point is the amount of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose stability and durability, making a poor product. If it is removed from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which creates bubbles in the finalized product.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the product has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the component cools, it reduces somewhat for ease of removal from the mold. This is another procedure that depends upon a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too quickly, causing warping of the material.

4. The offloading or de-molding step.
As soon as the product inside te mold has cooled effectively, the molder taking care of the procedure can then extract the finalized product from the mold. The process is repeated from the beginning, providing a series of identical product lines.
