1. Mold readying.
A predetermined measure of polymer in particle form is packed into a hollow mold. The mould is usually built from cast aluminium or sheet steel component. The color wanted for the end item is pre compounded into the polymer. The most generally used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this style of plastic assembly.

Preheating of the oven starts, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then sealed and placed into the oven.

2. The heating up and fusion phase.
Once placed into the oven, the mold is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and layers the inside if the mould. The spinning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 spins per min. One thing that is vital at this point is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose stability and strength, producing a faulty item. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which creates bubbles in the completed product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of removal from the mould. This is an additional procedure that depends a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too fast, causing warping of the item.

4. The offloading or de-molding step.
As soon as the product within te mould has cooled properly, the molder handling the process can then take out the completed product from the mould. The procedure is repeated from the start, providing a number of identical products.
