This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks a little for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another procedure that depends upon a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too rapidly, causing warping of the product.

4. The removing or de-molding step.
Once the component within te mould has cooled effectively, the molder managing the operation can then remove the completed item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, making a number of identical items.
