1. Mould preparation.
A fixed amount of polymer in particle form is loaded into a hollow mold. The mold is usually comprised of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. 2. The heating and fusion process.
Once placed into the oven, the mold is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The spinning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 spins per minute. Something that is crucial at this moment is the amount of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose stability and strength, making a faulty item. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which generates bubbles in the completed product.

3. Mold cooling.
When the product has completely spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the material cools, it reduces a little for ease of removal from the mold. This is one more step that depends upon a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too fast, causing bending of the material.

4. The offloading or de-moulding step.
As soon as the material inside te mould has cooled effectively, the person handling the operation can then extract the completed product from the mould. The process is repeated from the beginning, providing a series of similar items.
