1. Mould readying.
A predetermined quantity of polymer in grain form is packed into a hollow mold. The mold is usually built from cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. 2. The heating up and fusion process.
Once placed into the oven, the mold is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and overlays the inside if the mould. The rotation is done gradually, about 20 rotations per min. One thing that is vital at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose stability and strength, creating a poor product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which develops bubbles in the completed product.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the material cools, it reduces a little for ease of removal from the mould. This is yet another measure that relies a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too quick, causing warping of the material.

4. The offloading or de-moulding step.
Once the material inside te mould has cooled successfully, the person handling the procedure can then remove the finished item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the start, supplying a number of identical product lines.
