1. Mold preparation.

2. The heating and fusion process.
Once inside the oven, the mold is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mould. The rotation is done slowly, about 20 rotations per min. The main thing that is important at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose stability and strength, creating a poor product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted properly, which produces bubbles in the finished product line.

3. Mold cooling.
When the material has completely spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the component cools, it reduces somewhat for ease of extraction from the mould. This is an additional measure that depends a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too quickly, causing warping of the item.

4. The un-loading or de-molding phase.
Once the component inside te mold has cooled adequately, the molder handling the process can then remove the completed product from the mould. The technique is repeated from the start, providing a series of similar products.
