1. Mould prep work.
A fixed measure of polymer in powder form is packed into a hollow mould. The mould is usually constructed from cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most generally used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this style of plastic production.

Pre-heating of the oven follows, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is warmed to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then locked and put inside the oven.

2. The heat and fusion procedure.
Once within the oven, the mould is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and layers the inside if the mould. The turning is done gradually, about 20 spins per minute. One thing that is vital at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the product will lose value and durability, generating a weak item. If it is removed from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which develops bubbles in the finalized product.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the product has completely spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mould. This is yet another step that depends a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too quick, causing warping of the product.

4. The un-loading or de-molding step.
When the component inside te mold has cooled successfully, the person taking care of the procedure can then remove the completed item from the mold. The process is repeated from the start, supplying a number of exact items.
