1. Mould preparation.
A predetermined volume of polymer in grain form is packed into a hollow mold. The mould is usually made from cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most generally used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this type of plastic manufacturing.

Pre-heating of the oven starts, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then sealed and put into the oven.

2. The heat and fusion procedure.
Once inside the oven, the mold is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mould. The turning is done gradually, about 20 spins per minute. The main thing that is essential at this point is the amount of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the product will lose stability and durability, making a faulty item. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which produces bubbles in the completed product.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the material has completely spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is an additional procedure that depends upon a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too fast, causing warping of the material.

4. The un-loading or de-moulding step.
Once the component inside te mould has cooled properly, the molder taking care of the procedure can then take out the completed item from the mould. The technique is repeated from the start, providing a number of exact product lines.
